Veritas launches MSP-tailored partner programme to tap into 'growth opportunity'
The programme is set to encourage partners to do more managed services
Secure multi-cloud data management vendor Veritas is launching its new Managed Service Provider (MSP) partner programme, a specially designed initiative within the Veritas Partner Force.
The programme will offer MSPs a set of incentives, a wide range of training and enablement, and flexible pricing models.
Speaking to CRN, Oliver Norman, VP of EMEA channel and alliances at Veritas explained how the company is trying to unlock the growth opportunity that lies within managed service providers.
"We're all looking at this growth opportunity, and then thinking ‘How do we execute and unlock it?'
"And from talking to our partners we felt that one of the main things that came from it was that we there is a big opportunity around MSP, for our existing partners some of which are already MSPs."
Norman explained that 95 per cent of Veritas' business comes through the channel and therefore it's important to the company that it is tapping into all those opportunities to grow and help partners grow with it.
He explained that Veritas are encouraging partners to move into the MSP space.
"Without a shadow of a doubt, I think it's a huge opportunity because customers are looking for expertise to manage as a service holistically around data management," he commented.
The new programme provides incentives for MSPs in the form of flexible pricing models, training and enablement.
"Partners providing data management solution services across all the portfolio have different dynamics that work within those portfolio.
"And so, it's the flexibility to be able to scale up, but also have the flexibility to pull where the demand is that these partners are looking for."
The partner programme will work with a three-tier system: MSP, MSP + and MSP Elite.
Norman explained: "The higher tier will provide more marketing funds, more credit for enablement, more competitive pricing, based on volume of business.
To accelerate profitability for MSPs, Vertias said the programme allows Veritas-powered backup-as-a-service, analytics-as-a-service and data recovery-as-a-service offerings to be rapidly engineered.
MSPs can take advantage of subscription and consumption-based pricing options, in addition to commitment-based commercial models.
Qualifying Elite programme partners will also be eligible for joint go-to-market initiatives and product roadmap engagements, solutions development workshops and incentives.
The Veritas MSP Programme provides access to the breadth of the Veritas portfolio, including NetBackup Enterprise, the industry's first AI-powered autonomous data management solution, NetBackup IT Analytics and Alta Data Protection for safeguarding enterprise data across any environment, at any scale.
