HPE tasks Simon Ewington to lead worldwide partner and channel ecosystem
Following several months as interim leader Ewington takes over the position at HPE full time
HPE has appointed Simon Ewington as its new VP worldwide channel and partner ecosystem to expand business opportunities for partners while accelerating HPE's edge-to-cloud strategy.
Ewington was named interim leader at the beginning of the year, while also maintaining his leadership role as VP of worldwide distribution.
While serving in the role on an interim basis, Ewington led the team to accelerate HPE's as-a-service momentum, according to the company.
The team delivered new offerings in the HPE Partner Ready Vantage programme, including announcing in June at the HPE Partner Growth Summit solutions to increase partner opportunities to capitalise on trends around Edge, Hybrid Cloud and AI.
He has 27 years of experience at HP and HPE, along with channel experience in both the regional and global partner ecosystem roles.
Ewington will continue to drive the team's efforts to build on our momentum, deliver against the HPE Partner Ready Vantage programme, and help guide partners in leveraging the opportunity of the HPE GreenLake Cloud platform to align with customer outcomes and requirements.
This appointment builds on leadership announcements made over the last several months as HPE continues to invest in supporting and further growing its partner ecosystem.
Uli Seibold was appointed the new VP of HPE GreenLake partner and service provider sales, not long after GreenLake boss Keith White left the company.
Additionally, Leve Skov was announced as VP of worldwide channel sales for HPE Aruba Networking.
HPE says it has new updates to its HPE Partner Ready Vantage programme coming in November, including expanded competencies aligned to key portfolio areas and enablement for partner practice building through its centres of expertise.
