ALSO Group names company vet as new CFO
Previous CFO Ralf Retzko is leaving the company by “mutual agreement”
Swiss VAD ALSO Group has named a 12-year company veteran as its new chief financial officer following the departure of its previous CFO.
The distributor's board of directors have appointed Andreas Kuhn to the role, effective October 1 to replace Ralf Retzko, who is leaving the group by mutual agreement.
Retzko will remain closely associated with ALSO Group as an advisor beyond the 2023 financial year.
Kuhn joined the Emmen-HQ services outfit in 2012 as a corporate finance specialist. In 2018 he was promoted to head of group reporting.
"Ralf Retzko has played a significant role in the development of our excellent team. We thank him for the extraordinary work he has been doing over many years," said ALSO Holding CEO Gustavo Möller-Hergt.
"He is succeeded by Andreas Kuhn, a financial expert who also has extensive experience in working with the Swiss stock exchange and investors.
"The new appointment is another milestone in the generational change of the company's management team."
ALSO Group expansion
The €12.4bn-revenue Swiss firm described the appointment as a drive forward for its finance division.
The company has been busy driving expansion across the entire organisation, having entered the UK earlier this year to support the local roll out of its cloud commerce marketplace.
The company has also been growing its portfolio with its July acquisition of Norway-based VAD Commaxx.
