Academia results: Reseller exceeds expectations with 22 per cent revenue increase
Over the 2023 financial year the reseller has also increased headcount by 30 per cent
IT services and solutions provider, Academia, is reporting a 22 per cent revenue spike to more than £130m in its 2023 financial year results.
Its growth was also reflected in hiring, with a 30 per cent increase in headcount.
The Hemel Hempstead-headquartered reseller said this is a record result since it went into business in 2003.
Recently promoted to MD, Mark McCormack of Academia commented on the results: "We're primed for long-term success. Our customer base is expanding, our recruitment efforts are in full swing to bolster our team and our partner relations have reached unprecedented heights.

On McCormack's promotion to MD, Andrew Harman, the owner of the Academia Group, said: "McCormack has had an impressive career at Academia and after three years of working with him, we've seen his progress first hand.
"We're delighted to appoint him as Managing Director and look forward to working with him in his new role."
Further hires
To reinforce Academia's expansion plans in the business sector, the firm also welcomed Trevor Nickolls as sales director of its commercial side.
He previously held sales director positions at Computacenter and Storm Technologies.
Finally, Kris Bunting, a seasoned IT commercial leader with over 20 years' experience driving growth at IT resellers such as Redstone, Jigsaw24 and more recently with global software provider Jamf, joined the firm as head of technical services.
Peter Heath was appointed as technical operations director to strengthen the reseller's technical services capabilities.
Heath brings more than 35 years in IT, including over 15 years' leadership experience with the Westcoast.
