SonicWall acquires MSSP Solutions Granted to boost capabilities
Buyout gives SonicWall US-based SOCaaS, MDR capacity
Cybersecurity vendor SonicWall has acquired Solutions Granted (SGI), a managed security service provider (MSSP), based in Woodbridge, Virginia.
SGI, known for delivering cybersecurity solutions to MSPs, will enhance SonicWall's offerings.
The acquisition expands Milpitas, California-HQ SonicWall's portfolio to include US-based security operations centre services (SOCaaS) and managed detection and response (MDR).
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
SonicWall president and CEO, Bob VanKirk, highlighted the importance of offering MDR and managed services to IT teams. The collaboration aims to provide cost-effective threat defence solutions and a comprehensive portfolio for managing security.
"IT teams have turned to MDR and other managed services to identify and triage digital threats - it's a critical need we are now excited to offer," VanKirk commented.
Solutions Granted's CEO, Michael Crean, emphasised the joint effort's competitive edge for partners.
"The combination of SonicWall and Solutions Granted delivers services specifically designed for today's partners - giving them a distinct competitive edge," he said.
The integrated approach focuses on end-to-end managed threat protection, catering to the needs of today's MSPs and MSSPs.
According to the company, the move aligns with SonicWall's outside-in approach, positioning the vendor as a comprehensive and flexible partner for its associates, accelerating their growth trajectory.
The partnership addresses the demand for automated solutions in the cybersecurity landscape. Leveraging AI, the combined offering ensures swift identification and response to threats across various environments.
Looking ahead, SonicWall is set for global channel expansion. After relaunching its partner programme in the US, SonicWall plans a February rollout in EMEA, LATAM, and Asia.
In a recent interview with CRN, VanKirk stressed the importance of listening to partner feedback and adapting the SecureFirst programme accordingly.
