Bechtle hires former TD SYNNEX GM to head up France
The appointment is part of a strategic move to grow in France
Germany's Bechtle has recruited Mathilde Bluteau to take the helm at Bechtle France from 1 April.
She joins from distribution powerhouse TD SYNNEX where she held the position of general manager of advanced solutions in France for more than four years.
Bluteau brings 30 years' experience in IT, and has held international leadership positions at Microsoft, Apple and Cisco. She will report to COO Konstantin Ebert.
"Mathilde Bluteau has been our favourite candidate and is a huge win for Bechtle due to her extraordinary leadership skills," said Ebert.
"In her previous career, she collaborated very successfully with the Bechtle Group's subsidiaries in France. This is the foundation we will build upon to bolster our growing presence on the French market and gain an even stronger foothold."
Bluteau will continue to be based in Paris where she will leverage her extensive international network that she has established over three decades.
"I am fascinated by the opportunities that Bechtle France has to offer. The group's strength, the room for entrepreneurial freedom at a regional level and the aspiring plans for growth all offer a huge chance for me to leverage my experience and tap into the enormous potential that Bechtle has as a future-first IT partner in France," she said.
Bechtle targets France
Bluteau is the second vice president, after Marijke Kasius in the Netherlands, announced in December to head up a multi-vendor national segment.
The Neckarsulm-based reseller said that by introducing a new management level, it aims to sharpen the group's competitive edge in France while accelerating further growth in its largest European market after Germany.
The Bechtle Group claims it is one of the top five IT companies in France with its Bechtle direct, Bechtle Comsoft, Inmac Wstore, Cadmes and Apixit subsidiaries.
The company has been active on the French market since 2000, initially with its Bechtle direct brand before its other subsidiaries joined the fold.
The group employs some 1,200 employees at 17 locations in France and has a turnover of more than €1bn.
