Digital solutions provider Xperience Group has acquired GCC to beef up its business applications efforts and expansion across the UK.

The deal sees Xperience enter central London and the west of England for the first time and expand its SME client base CEO Iain O'Kane (pictured) told CRN.

The bolstered client roster provides the "opportunity to bring more benefit to clients through likes of managed IT & cybersecurity," says O'Kane.

O'Kane added the takeover also brings a strong Microsoft capability within the existing team and skills in sectors that align with Xperience - not for profit, professional services, wholesale, distribution and financial services.

This marks the third acquisition in 24 months for Xperience since it added Riverlite and Green Duck to its ranks.

The deal is also the first since Bowmark Capital invested in the business in November 2022.

Over this time Xperience claims its headcount has more than doubled to over 230 employees, with client numbers reaching 1,400 and turnover now in excess of £30m.

"Xperience is a rapidly growing business with a strong management team, financial track record and a successful history of acquiring high performing businesses," said O'Kane.

"The acquisition of GCC is strategically important as Xperience continues to build out its business application capabilities, enhancing our client proposition and broadening our footprint in the UK."

Who is GCC?

GCC is an MSP and business applications solutions (ERP and CRM) provider with offices in London and Gloucester.

Founded in 1992, it has been delivering managed IT services and IT solutions to UK SMEs for nearly 30 years and supports over 600 clients.

It counts Microsoft, HP, Cisco and Sage as some of its key technology vendors.

The addition of the Microsoft Gold partner strengthens Xperience's growing network of offices across the UK including Peterborough, Bury St Edmunds, Glasgow and Lisburn.

GCC will trade under the Xperience brand following the completion of the deal.

Chris Harthman, CEO at GCC, added: "Our ambition has always been to join forces with a company that shared our values and could continue to support our business strategy.

"As the relationship with Iain and his wider team has developed, it has been clear to me that Xperience represents a great home for GCC, and I am excited about what this transaction will provide to both our valued customers and quality team."
