CTS vet Chris Bunch takes top job at AWS consultancy D55
"Culturally it feels like the kind of fast, flexible and fun place I like," Bunch said on LinkedIn
Channel veteran Chris Bunch has joined AWS consultancy D55 as its new CEO after three and a half years spent as the COO and then managing director of CTS.
"I've joined Jonathan Rothwell, Rhys Jacob and the rest of the amazing D55 Limited team on their mission to provide complex Amazon Web Services (AWS) modernisation services to UK businesses, Bunch (pictured) announced on LinkedIn.
"My actual "Day 1" was yesterday and was a very entertaining whirlwind. I'm writing this on a train down to London for a few more doubtless lively days of sessions."
Manchester-based D55 was founded in 2018 and became an official AWS partner in 2019 by current directors Rhys Jacob and Jonathan Rothwell.
CTS ranked 67th in CRN's 2024 Top VARs and MSPs list, driven by its cloud SaaS and managed services offer.
Bunch announced he would be leaving CTS in February, as the cloud specialist announced it would be merging with Appsbroker.
"This creates the Google specialist in Europe, and it's something I'm super proud to have been part of making happen. I'd be surprised if this is the last deal the company does, so keep your eyes open for further growth," Bunch wrote in a LinkedIn post at the time.
"With the merger comes a host of people with new skills and capabilities, and an enlarged leadership team that no longer needs me to steer and direct, so I'm stepping back."
Prior to joining the GCP specialist, Bunch spent nine years in various roles across Cloudreach, now owned by Eviden.
Prior to this, he had an 8-year-tenure at ERP software firm IFS.
