Econocom to launch ambitious sales drive as it eyes €4bn turnover target
French IT service provider is banking on entrepreneurial sales force to propel growth
B2B digital services provider, Econocom is planning to onboard 100 elite sales agents over the next three years, bolstering its ranks on the path of sustainable innovation.
The news comes as part of a move aligned with its One Econocom strategic roadmap to grow its "unique network of independent sales agents across Europe".
The company said it is setting its sights on the €4bn revenue target over the next five years, a substantial leap from its current €2.8bn turnover.
Econocom has a strong set of self-employed entrepreneurs who operate on behalf of the company, working directly with customers on a daily basis.
This unconventional sales model, the company said, has been a cornerstone of its success for over four decades, enabling the company to cultivate long-term, trust-based relationships with its clientele.
"For more than 40 years, we have possessed considerable expertise in developing this independent sales force, which supports our customers over the long term," said Jean-Louis Bouchard, chairman and founder of Econocom.
"The company is unique in that it is the only digital company to have introduced this model of sales agents, who are truly independent company directors. I
"It's a significant strategic force which offers candidates an exceptional opportunity to join a leading company in the sector while enjoying entrepreneurial independence."
To fuel these growth plans, Econocom is embarking on a recruitment drive, seeking seasoned sales professionals with expertise in the company's core business lines: hardware distribution, IT services, leasing solutions, and recycling.
The company is targeting candidates who resonate with its entrepreneurial spirit and are eager to be part of a long-term, customer-centric endeavour that reflects its core values.
"Thanks to its business lines and ecosystem, the group is a very rich and unique playground for its employees. A talented sales representative will be able to flourish here and unleash his or her creativity, to offer tailor-made solutions to our customers," says Ben Wylie, MD of Econocom UK.
"We are determined to introduce this model in the UK, as it will be a significant advantage in differentiating us from our local competitors."
This programme is supported by a multi-media campaign, including video testimonials from sales agents.
The scheme will be deployed across Europe, in France, Italy, Spain, Benelux, Germany and the UK.
