Generative AI for the masses: CRN and Agilitas host roundtable dinner discussing impact on the channel
18 key decision makers from leading channel businesses gathered at London's Rose Court to share insights and best practices for implementing genAI
On the evening of 25 April, industry leaders and decision makers from the UK IT channel converged at Rose Court, London, for a thought-provoking roundtable dinner hosted by CRN.
The event, sponsored by Agilitas IT Solutions, provided a platform for attendees to engage in discussions centred around the impact of genAI on the channel.
Celebrating the publication of Agilitas' Channel Trends 2024 report, the dinner focused on one key trend – the increasingly widespread proliferation of generative AI in channel operations.
According to Agilitas, 82 per cent of channel leaders expect genAI to have a meaningful impact of businesses. This was echoed by leaders at the roundtable, all of whom are experimenting with applications of genAI within their businesses, as well as working with clients to help them meaningfully leverage technologies like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
Throughout the evening, a diverse array of perspectives was shared, reflecting the breadth and depth of expertise present among the attendees. From Faisal Abbasi, AI Services and Solutions Director at Bell Integration, to Anushka Davies, Head of Employee Engagement at Softcat, each participant offered valuable insights and anecdotes gleaned from their experiences navigating the evolving landscape of the UK IT channel.
Discussions were lively and engaging, touching upon topics ranging from the challenges of implementing DEI strategies to the critical role of service quality in shaping customer experience. Attendees exchanged best practices, shared success stories, and candidly addressed the obstacles and opportunities facing their organisations.
The event fostered meaningful connections and sparked ideas for collaboration and innovation within the industry.
