Trams|Econocom teams up with Ingentive to evolve Microsoft offering
The collaboration allows Trams to expands its offerings beyond the Apple ecosystem
Trams|Econocom has joined forces with Ingentive to pursue organic growth through evolving its Microsoft solution offerings.
The partnership marks a significant milestone for the Econocom-owned UK reseller as it expands its offerings beyond the Apple ecosystem, playing on Ingentive's skills to provide guidance in Microsoft applications.
Explaining to CRN about what drove this collaboration, Trams says it examines new markets through several lenses - what is the organic growth potential? Does it have the skills to offer the solutions the market needs? And if not, how might it fill this through tactical acquisitions and partnership models?
"Trams|Econocom is already an established and trusted IT reseller in the UK market and we saw a big upside in the potential for organic growth in evolving our Microsoft solution offerings, beyond licensing, to meet the needs of our client base," a Trams|Econocom spokesperson tells CRN.
They add there were a few drivers around the decision to look for a strategic partner.
"We were seeing a trend with some of our clients where they were looking to consolidate their supply chain and needed value-added partners that can bring Microsoft solution capability in addition to infrastructure, AV, and cyber offerings."
Warren Peel, managing director of Trams|Econocom said: "Everyone knows we're experts in everything Apple, and now we're replicating this model to Microsoft technologies by organically growing our in-house expertise and partnering with experts such as Ingentive."
Following the acquisition of Trams in 2021, Econocom sees the UK market as a key geographical region as it builds on the European brand.
With the ‘One Econocom' strategy, the business is looking to capitalise on its European coverage and deliver IT services globally.
The reseller explains one of the key pillars of the ‘One Econocom' plan is developing and deploying solutions focused around design and modernisation of the workplace.
Microsoft is a core technology across the majority of the Trams client base and the innovation coming through in the Microsoft product suite offers its clients greater opportunities to reimagine productivity, enrich employee experiences, reinvent customer engagement and reshape business processes, the spokesperson said.
AI ready in under 45 days
The two firms are also collaborating on a push around Ingentive's CoPilot45 solution.
CoPilot45 is an AI change and delivery programme that aims to get organisations AI-ready in under 45 days.
It combines collaborative workshops, interactive sessions, and deployment help, wrapped up with full data governance and complemented by adoption and change programmes. The CoPilot45 process includes a fully funded workshop supported by Microsoft, which can also provide a platform to identify other quick wins within the business: optimising their workflows and boosting productivity.
Jo Feldman, CCO at Ingentive said: "We recognise the value proposition of bringing together our Microsoft capabilities with that of Trams Apple expertise to offer clients solutions that leverage existing investments. Copilot has piqued interest in most organisations, and we want to help ensure these are set up for success in their AI journey."
