Mark Schroeder is currently COO and CFO at the reseller
Germany-based solution provider SYNAXON has promoted Mark Schroeder, currently serving as COO and CFO, to the role of chief executive officer. Concurrently, Miguel Rodriguez will be promoted to the executive board.
The announcement follows the surprise decision of long-serving CEO, Frank Roebers, to leave the group and pursue his own business ventures.
Mark Schroeder, who joined SYNAXON in 2000, has amassed considerable experience within the company, having held various senior positions including head of finance.
He commented on the announcement: "I am honoured to be taking over as the CEO of SYNAXON and looking forward to taking our organisation forward into the next phase of its growth and evolution.
"We will be placing even more focus on helping partners drive their partners' services and managed services business in 2025.
"With a strong team of more than 300 colleagues, SYNAXON is well-placed to support partners in taking advantage of the enormous opportunities that the IT market has to offer and in particular the huge potential to grow services business in the SMB sector."
Miguel Rodriguez, who began his journey with SYNAXON in a sales role in 2003, has progressively taken on more significant responsibilities, including his appointment as managing director of SYNAXON Projekt und Handel (SYNAXON Hub in the UK) in 2012.
As a newly appointed member of the executive board, Rodriguez will assume additional responsibilities for the procurement and support functions of the group, alongside his current role.
Rodriguez said: "I am truly grateful for the trust the SYNAXON board is placing in me.
"It is not only a great responsibility, but an outstanding opportunity to continue to advance our vision.
"I am looking forward to further developing our corporate strategy and working with our outstanding team to provide even higher levels of support to our partners and helping them maximise their potential."
Mike Barron, managing director of SYNAXON UK, welcomed the announcements, highlighting their positive impact on UK partners.
"This is great news for SYNAXON's UK partners. With the deep knowledge and experience that both Mark and Miguel possess of the market and of SYNAXON, we know that the organisation will be in safe hands.
"In addition, Miguel's close involvement in the establishment and success of SYNAXON Hub in the UK means that he has a keen awareness of the particular needs of our partners here.
"I'm looking forward to working with both Mark and Miguel in taking SYNAXON UK to the next stage of its growth and development."
The new appointments will be effective from the beginning of 2025, marking a new era for the business as Frank Roebers embarks on his new venture, establishing two franchise operations in western Germany.
