MSP Sota taps former Agilitas CEO as new chairman
Sota said Shaun Lynn will “spearhead the next growth phase”, replacing Paul Cowham in the position
As part of its strategy for continued growth, British MSP Sota has appointed Shaun Lynn, former CEO of Agilitas IT Solutions, as its new chairman.
Lynn takes over from Paul Cowham, who has stepped down from his role as executive chairman.
Following an extensive search process, he will bring experience to Sota having served as the chief executive of Agilitas IT Solutions for almost nine years before stepping down in February 2023.
During his tenure at Agilitas, Lynn helped drive the company's growth, establishing its position as a key player in the IT channel.
This appointment comes at a time when the Kent-based MSP says it is experiencing "unprecedented success".
Under the leadership of MD Andrew Symons and financial director Ben Smoker, the company has achieved "record highs" in turnover, profitability, headcount, and customer satisfaction.
Symons expressed enthusiasm about the new appointment: "We are thrilled to welcome Shaun as our new chairman.
"His proven track record in the IT services sector, particularly his successful leadership at Agilitas, makes him an ideal fit as we enter our next phase of growth."
Lynn's extensive experience in the technology sector and his success in driving both organic and acquisitive growth strategies are expected to be valuable assets.
His vision is said to align closely with Sota's commitment to innovation and excellence in IT services.
Commenting on his new role, Lynn stated: "I am honoured to take on the role of chairman at such a pivotal time for us.
"Having led Agilitas through a period of significant growth and transformation, I look forward to bringing that experience to Sota and working with the talented team here to drive the business forward and achieve new heights."
The leadership change is viewed as a strategic move to propel the company into its next phase of growth, building on its current success.
Lynn's appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategies, drawing from his successful tenure at Agilitas and his deep understanding of the IT services landscape.
