CRN launches a first-of-its-kind sustainability-focused community platform

The Sustainability in Tech (SiT) Community Platform will be a destination for companies at every stage of their decarbonisation journey to connect with peers, find useful information, ask questions, and get updates on legislation set to affect them in the future, plus much more

After more than a year in development, CRN and Computing's parent company The Channel Company (TCC) is delighted to unveil its brand-new sustainability initiative - The Sustainability in Tech (SiT) Community Platform.

A first-of-its-kind in the UK and Europe, the platform is aiming to encourage more cooperation and engagement around sustainability and ESG to help companies reach their Net Zero goals faster and with more ease.

Totally free to access via registration, the platform is designed to be the go-to place for companies at any stage of their sustainability journey, whether they are vendors, resellers, distributors or end users.

Alan Loader, Global SVP of Media at The Channel Company, said: "We are keen for the CRN and Computing audience to register on this platform and also let us know the type of content they would like to see and what would really help them reach their Net Zero goals."

The platform has been developed with the help of a team of top industry experts that make up the Sustainability in Tech Advisory Board - all of which can be seen on the site. Read all about their own personal sustainability journeys in the ‘Meet the Advisory Board' section.

For those of you who missed the inaugural Sustainability in Tech Summit in February, we have videos of some of the keynotes and discussions that happened on the day, under the 'Videos' tab, plus all the current episodes of our brand new 'Navigating Net Zero' series, which breaks down the different areas of legislation and explains all you need to know about starting your decarbonisation journey.

The community side of the platform is absolutely key - we want to know if you are holding a sustainability-related event - we are happy to share it on our ‘upcoming events' page. If you have a question, visit the ‘Forums' page and start a discussion thread - the more experiences we can share, the better.

Likewise, if you would like to contribute some content of your own in the form of a blog, video, some research or if you have some information that needs sharing, then do get in touch - we would love to hear from you. We will also be looking to speak to as many of you as possible about your own personal journeys and challenges in the future, so again, please do get in touch. We want the site to have a true community feel.

The platform is also being supported by Founding Sponsors Lenovo, HP, TDSYNNEX, Simms and Softcat, all of whom will be sharing their own content on the site via their dedicated hubs, and we have content sharing partnerships in place with industry-leading sustainability experts Arete Zero Carbon, Circular Computing, and also leading news and analysis site - Business Green.com.

If you would like to become a content partner or a sponsor, please do get in touch. We still have a lot of work to do to ensure the platform is the very best it can be.
