Littlefish acquires Irish MSP Storm Technology

London-based MSP Littlefish has acquired Storm Technology, an Irish Microsoft business applications consultancy, in a move aimed at expanding its service portfolio and market presence.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

With a workforce approaching 700 and backed by significant investment from Bowmark Capital in 2022, Littlefish is looking to accelerate its growth phase through this acquisition.

The deal is set to enhance Littlefish's capabilities in enterprise applications and strengthen its Microsoft M365/D365 offerings.

Littlefish also sees the buyout as a route to open new opportunities in the UK and Irish markets, addressing the rising demand for Microsoft-focused business solutions.

It will also expand Littlefish's customer base in Ireland through Storm Technology's established operations.

"From our humble beginnings, we've grown into a superior alternative to multi-billion-pound IT outsourcers, delivering award-winning services and exceptional customer experiences.

"This acquisition is a key milestone in our journey, expanding our reach and enhancing our Microsoft solution capabilities with a like-minded organisation," said Littlefish CEO Steve Robinson.

"Joining forces with Littlefish marks an exciting step in our business and client journey, supporting our growth ambition – facilitating entry to the UK market, while reaffirming our commitment to the delivery of maximum client impact with the expansion of our existing capabilities – creating an end-to-end digital operating platform," added Storm Technology CEO Karl Flannery.

The combined entity will provide services across managed IT, cyber, cloud, and strategic business applications consultancy. The integration is expected to drive digital transformation and scale growth for their clients.

Littlefish received advisory services from EY's Dublin-based corporate team, led by Robert Hussey and Ronan Murray, and legal guidance from a combined UK and Irish team at Browne Jacobson, overseen by Mark Hughes and William Darmody.

The London-HQ service provider delivered 24 per cent revenue growth in 2023 to rank 99th in CRN' s Top VARs and MSPs.
