Avanade appoints Rodrigo Caserta as new CEO
Caserta to boost Avanade’s position in the Microsoft services sector
Avanade has appointed Rodrigo Caserta as its new CEO.
The former VP of TOTVS and current Avanade global technology business group lead brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success that will boost the firm's position in the Microsoft services sector.
As general manager of Brazil and later as president of growth markets, Caserta (pictured) led significant growth in both revenue and headcount across Avanade's APAC and Latin America regions.
Avanade provides digital, cloud, AI and advisory services, industry solutions and design-led experiences across Microsoft. In June, the company celebrated its 19th year as Microsoft's global SI partner of the year, making it, together with Accenture, the most recognised system integrator partner.
Avanade's eagerness for change and innovation is not without correlation to its fruitful partnership with Microsoft.
Earlier this year, Annette Giardina, Avanade's chief innovation officer, told CRN UK that the company was expanding its reach into start-ups and challengers within the Microsoft ecosystem to bring "external innovation" to its business and customers.
The partner firm's UK business ranked 13th in CRN' s Top VARs this year, with a 38.6 per cent spike in revenue.
Caserta's new appointment aligns with the provider's ethos, as it keeps reinventing itself to answer the evolving needs of the Microsoft ecosystem.
"I am excited and look forward to this opportunity to lead, guided by our deep expertise, bold ambitions and a spirit of collaboration," said Caserta.
Caserta succeeds Pamela Maynard, who will step down at the end of August to join Microsoft as chief AI transformation officer for Microsoft customer and partner solutions (MCAPS).
"After 16 remarkable years at Avanade, now is the right time to transition to new leadership and Rodrigo is the perfect choice for our next CEO," said Maynard.
