Claroty continues growth push with dual hires

Cyber-physical protection vendor, Claroty, has announced the appointment of Matt Logan (pictured) and Elliot Gidley as field chief technology officers (CTOs) for the EMEA region.

These new roles are part of the vendor's broader strategy to enhance support for critical infrastructure organisations as they navigate increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges.

The hires of Logan and Gidley reflect its ongoing efforts to bolster its presence in EMEA, a region where cybersecurity needs are growing rapidly, the company said.

"I am thrilled to be joining one of the world's leading cybersecurity companies," commented Logan.

"The Claroty team's track record of innovation in the CPS security space is beyond impressive and being part of this is an exciting prospect. I'm equally looking forward to the great opportunity to work across a diverse and high-profile customer base."

Andrew Lintell, general manager of EMEA at Claroty, emphasised that these appointments are aligned with the company's customer-centric approach. "These roles are essential for our ongoing efforts to support customers in strengthening their CPS security strategies," Lintell said.

Logan and Gidley will be tasked with guiding customers through the operational risks associated with the extended Internet of Things (XIoT) and CPS.

Their responsibilities will include providing security advisory services and helping organisations develop robust cyber resilience programmes tailored to their expanding attack surfaces.

Logan brings with him significant experience from his previous role as head of sales engineering at SonicWall, where he managed customer satisfaction across multiple regions, including the UK, Ireland, France, and the Middle East.

Before his time at SonicWall, Logan held roles at SenseOn and Deep Instinct, contributing to business growth and shortening proof of concept timelines.

Elliot Gidley, who spent five years at Cylance Inc as a principal sales engineer, will focus on advising customers on digital transformation and exposure management.

"In this new role, my goal is to provide customers with best practice advice on digital transformation and exposure management, while arming them with the best cybersecurity tools that can be easily adopted and translated into strong return on investments," Gidley said.

"The incoming NIS2 Directive is putting critical infrastructure entities under mounting pressure to minimise risk and drive resilience. Claroty is uniquely equipped to help customers achieve their goals in this vital area," followed Gidley.

These appointments come on the heels of significant milestones for Claroty, including surpassing $100m in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in 2023.

The company also recently secured an additional $100m in strategic growth financing, bringing its total funding to $735m.

In the channel space, the vendor recently appointed Tim Mackie as its global VP of channels and alliances.
