Zyxel Networks seeks partners who want to build managed services

Zyxel Networks has unveiled updates to its partner programme to enhance experiences for MSP partners and enable them to use the AI-driven capabilities within its Nebula cloud management platform.

The move comes as the vendor seeks to reach out to more partners looking to build their own remote monitoring and managed services offering around the platform.

The networking vendor claims the latest AI and machine learning features of Nebula have made it an even better foundation for the development of a managed services business, helping partners to identify and address issues before they become actual problems.

In addition, with licensing sales of Nebula growing fast, Zyxel added it is looking to recruit additional partners that are ready to develop and grow their own managed services business.

"The growth of MSP partners that's been fuelled by Nebula is already a tremendous success story – and we now want to help our partners write the next chapter with an enhanced programme that gives them an even better experience and an AI-driven platform that will help them scale and grow," said Rachel Rothwell, senior regional director, UK and Ireland for Zyxel Networks (pictured).

Zyxel said it is making extensive new sales and marketing resources available to MSP partners and has updated its margin structures to make it even more beneficial for channel firms to attract new customers and grow their managed services business.

Rothwell added there are still plenty of opportunities to go after, especially in the SMB space.

"The MSP market is set to grow by 12 per cent every year for the next three years (according to the UK Managed Service Provider Study from Business Research Group) and most of that will come from SMBs.

"Awareness and confidence are growing but crucially, SMBs want managed services to be provided by their trusted or local IT solutions provider.

"These are the kind of businesses we already have on our MSP programme and we are now ready to bring additional partners on-board and to help them to start building and growing their managed services proposition."

Zyxel's commitment to MSPs

Rothwell believes it's the right time for more resellers to embark on their own journey.

"While many partners want to become MSPs, many don't know where to start. Our programme makes it easy for partners to get onboard, understand the opportunity, define their proposition, and execute on those plans. And we stay with them every step of the way while they do that."

In July 2023, Zyxel made another update to its partner programme in a bid to encourage more partners to transition into managed services providers.

Speaking with CRN at the time, Rothwell said more traditional resellers needed to start thinking about making the switch to managed services.

"It depends on the type of reseller you engage with," she said.

"I believe, with the type of resellers Zyxel works with, it is a must.

"The adoption of cloud is growing year on year. It's very dominant in most industries, especially in networking today. And [managed services] makes it so much easier to offer those services.

"It gives the resellers the tools to be able to do it with almost very little investment, which obviously means they can utilise their staff in a much better way.

"I think resellers should and probably have to adopt this type of MSP platform."
