What has been your business highlight of 2022?

The AntiSocial Engineer consultancy joining the Ultima family. Threats from human social engineering are underestimated by many companies and the consulting and training platforms are adding significant capability to our cyber security practice.

If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?

Free access to high-speed internet for all.

Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?

Boyan Slat, founder & CEO of The Ocean Cleanup. The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organisation developing and scaling technologies to rid the world's oceans of plastic.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

"Don't send me long emails."

What was your first job?

An Apple technical support engineer in 1983 for a reseller, working on Apple II, //e and Lisa.

What was the last book you read, and was it any good?

The Secret Barrister - a very good read and terrifying at the same time.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?

Your success is always dependant on supporting and motivating the people around you.

Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Atlas, the Boston Dynamics robot. I love automation and fall over occasionally.
