What has been your business highlight of 2022?

Without doubt having everyone back in the office and working face to face again. I think technology has worked brilliantly and has enabled hybrid working. But seeing partners and colleagues is unbeatable.

If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?

A real living wage for all and free university tuition for certain public services roles (doctors, nurses, teachers, police and so on).

Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?

I can't ever be anything other than impressed by Mike Norris and the Computacenter team. Second to that, Sonny Sehgal at Transputec who's really driven and evolved Transputec over the last few years.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

"Bulls**t free zone."

What was your first job?

I was hoping to play cricket for a living post A-levels but ended up in a management trainee role with NatWest Bank.

What was the last book you read, and was it any good?

The 6:20 Man by David Baldacci - good but not his best.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?

The best management style/advice I have had and try to practice is to build a great team, trust them, support them and allow them the space to do their job.

Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Paul Anderson.
