What has been your business highlight of 2022?

The establishment of our ESG board to formulate, oversee and execute our strategy for social value, sustainability and compliance. This was a chance to embed the culture and values which will be the building blocks for Misco's future success.

If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?

Abolish tuition fees for university students - there should be no financial barriers to education.

Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?

Alex Tatham - NSC Global. Alex impresses me every year, but to make such a big move when he could have stayed at Westcoast says so much about his drive and enthusiasm. I am sure he'll continue to be hugely successful.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

"May cause drowsiness."

What was your first job?

Apprentice car mechanic.

What was the last book you read, and was it any good?

Bob Mortimer's And Away… It was funny, sometimes moving and thought provoking, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?

Colin Robinson, chief commercial officer at Centrality. Although I only worked with Colin for a relatively short period of time, I learned so much from him. The way he was able to connect with his team on a personal level, to motivate and have them believe in his vision. He was also exceptional at reading people; I found him truly inspirational. It's hard to pick one lesson, but if I had to it would be his humility.

Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Stanley Tucci - I wish I was that stylish!
