What has been your business highlight of 2022?
It was around 10:37am on Thursday 11th March - it was just magical.
If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?
The right to silence and I will say no more about it.
Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?
For the channel, it would have to be Dave. Its repeats of Top Gear and QI have been nothing short of spectacular.
If you had a warning label, what would it say?
Probably something like "Warning!"
What was your first job?
I was a lift operator… very up and down.
What was the last book you read, and was it any good?
It was a book called How to Get Yourself into Space. It was a difficult read, sure. But it wasn't rocket science.
What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?
A very wise woman once said: "Do you want fries with that?" The classic upsell opportunity is not only omnipresent but it is everywhere, all the time.
Who would play you in a movie of your life?
I think Warwick Davies because I know everyone looks up to him.
