Rigby Group-owned SCC saw respectable revenue growth in 2023, thanks to both organic growth and the acquisition of fellow reseller Vohkus in March, as well as a majority investment in Nimble, a UK-based, 150-person digital engineering consultancy headquartered in Sheffield.
CEO James Rigby called the Vohkus deal a ‘classic scale play' as SCC gears up to become the largest technology investor in Europe.
Talking exclusively to CRN at the time, Rigby said that Fareham-based Vohkus brings SCC "a nice set of customers it would have taken us a very long time to win on our own".
The acquisitive firm is planning further deals in 2024, having yet to exhaust the £300m reserve allocated to buyouts in Europe until 2025.
>SCC will be targeting deals that shore up its proposition outside its core business, managing director Christine Olmsted revealed.
Aside from acquisitions, however, the business counts its people investments as some of its most important spend.
In 2024, it focused investments in people, facilities, and growth areas including digital workplace, cloud services and cyber.
In the D&I space, the reseller touted a refreshed benefits package, the introduction of a Diversity and Inclusion Working Group, and adoption of hybrid working arrangements as some of its most important decisions over the past year.
